5/6/2008 - US Army MP Stephen Phillips is serving in Afghanistan tried calling his parents with his cell phone while on patrol. When his parents didn't answer, he hung up without leaving a message. Soon after, his convoy was attacked and during the attack, Phillips' cell phone was hit just right making it recall his parents phone. The parents answering machine pickedup and recorded 3 minutes of the firefight.

Luckily, Phillips was uninjured in the attack and most astounding is that Phillips apologized to his parents and pleaded with them to not allow his grandmother to hear the recording. Seems Phillips was ashamed of his cussing while being shot at. I think your family will be merciful when deciding your punishment for cussing, Stephen. Just get home safely...

4/14/2008 - Obama first made the comment that "we all have sat in church and heard things that we do not agree with." He later changed his story that "I had never heard the misguided remarks by the reverend and I do not agree with him."

He found the public didn't like the fact that he sat through 20 years of listening to the racist reverend so he changed his story to claim he never heard the racist reverends rants, and we, the public, BOUGHT IT!

Now Obama makes the statement that people in Pennsylvania are bitter fools clinging to guns and God instead of getting off their duffs and getting a job. Seems he was focused on the whites in that state that lost their union jobs and have been struggling to make ends meet.

Normally, the Dems are marching behind the union workers since they are the bread and butter of the Democrat party, but since these are "ignorant, lazy whites," they don't matter to Obama.

Of course he felt the heat from his racist comments and has been quickly trying to cover the issue with damage control.

1/11/2008 - DOHS Secretary Michael Chertoff is pushing forward for his plan to enact the "Real ID Act."

The idea, of course, is that every American will be required to apply for a "Real ID" card that carries all of your information and allows it to be read via RFID technology. In other words, the government (and anyone else with a little electronics background) will be able to read your personal information (including your SS info) from distances of up to several hundred yards away. Yep, you could be tracked without you knowing. Think of all the court cases lining up with that idea: divorce case, husband accuses wife of cheating and has her tracking records pulled. A man with an arrest record of once hanging a BA when he had just turned 18 at a high school football game and was put on a sexual offender list, 20 years later and a clean record he is tracked to the general area where a rape is reported and he is arrested...etc...

This ID is NOT the way to make America secure. Want to secure this country? START BY SECURING THE BORDERS!!!

11/2/2007 - Duane "Dog" Chapman, from the reality TV show "Dog the Bounty Hunter" on Bravo, is in hot water (once again) for calling his son’s girlfriend a nigger. Does it really matter what this guy thinks of different races?

During a recorded conversation over the phone to his son, "The Dog" seemed to have no problem calling his son’s girlfriend a nigger and furthermore her being a "nigger" would undermine what he has "work for and built for more than 30 years."

Evidently, Limbaugh made a comment about "phony soldiers" and congressional Democrats are hell bent on doing what they can to revoke Limbaugh's right to free speech. 9/17/2007 - Yep, he's back in jail AGAIN! He was arrested for the murder of his ex and Ron Goldman. He was sued and lost in the civil case. He was arrested for slapping around his latest (at the time) bimbo. He was arrested on a drug charge.......And yet he has walked in all but the civil case. This time he is sitting in jail, waiting for his trial for armed robbery, so another ignorant group of jurors can let him off scott-free AGAIN!

I would like to see him go to jail (if not for the murders, then for the battery, drugs or armed robbery) and actually do some time for a change, but I'm not holding my breath. This criminal seems to be able to weasel his way out almost every time.

And before anyone chimes in with "this is a racial thing against OJ", NO IT'S NOT! God damn it, get over your BS victim mentality and move on with life. Just because a black is arrested, that does not mean the KKK is running the PD, the DA and the courts. How about looking at the facts of the friggin case FOR ONCE, instead of pulling the BS race card???

Here's a friggin clue, I think OJ belongs behind bars. I think Cardinal Mahoney belongs behind bars (holy crap, he's white and I think he's guilty, how can that be???). 5/10/2007 - Global warming is the hot (no pun intended..... ok, yes there was) topic. We see it on the news on the TV, hear it on the radio news, read about it in the newspapers and online, not to mention all of the politicians, and the average Joe on the streets. Quite frankly, I think we'd be pretty foolish to assume that belching tons of polution into the athmosphere every day will have no affect on the environment We do need to make changes to our daily expulsion of waste material into our air.

Scientists have pointed to carbon dioxide as the biggest culprit contributing to the green house effect. Carbon dioxide, the very same gas we as humans expel on the second half of each breath cycle. So we as humans are contributing to the build up of CO2 gas personally. It doesn't matter if you don't drive a car, run everything on solar power, etc... We are still expelling CO2 after every breath of air we inhale.

The panic has hit so hard that there is even a $25M reward to the first scientist that can come up with a viable solution to the CO2 problem. $25M is up for grabs for ANYONE that can come up with an accepted answer.

Here's my 2 cents... (And I want my $25M when this gets accepted.... The idea of being the guy that saved the planet is wonderful, but a little extra coin doesn't hurt either.) Instead of designing some new fancy do-hickie-majigg to clear out the excess CO2, instead of designing a way of pumping the CO2 into the ground instead of the air, instead of trying to reinvent the wheel, how about this? We quit eliminating the rainforest, we replant the millions of acres destroyed, we plant trees, bushes, grass AND we lower the emissions on vehicles (hybrids, electric, work on advanced solar, etc...), we cut the emissions from our factories AND we use safer nuclear energy plants...

It takes 3 medium sized trees to produce enough oxygen for one adult human. How many billions of people are there in the world now?

Did you know that Israel built it's own forest because they decided the heat and dry weather sucked. Within a relatively short time, they noticed their rainfall levels increased, their temperatures in the summer were cooler.

There is no reason why we need to reinvent the wheel here folks. We simply need to help nature get back to where it was before we started to chop down our natural oxygen generators and CO2 filters. The lumber industry is needed and therefore I agree with the replanting program they have (it creates a never ending source of income for them AND it continues to help nature remove the CO2) in place as long as they keep with it.

It's pretty simple. No fancy gadgets really. Just common sense. We don't have to stop driving, stop manufacturing or stop breathing. We simply need to do it more cleanly and put back what nature already had in place to keep the air clean and the green house effect to a minimum.

2/22/2007 - A July 2004 meeting held in Ohio was used to train how to make bombs, suicide bomber vests, roadside bombs and who knows what else.

1/18/2007 - Border Patrol Agents Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean received 11 and 12 year federal prison sentances and turned themselves in yesterday (Jan 17, 2007) to federal marshals to begin their sentances.

Ok, let's get into the meat and taitors of this issue:

We have two U.S. Border Patrol Agents that witnessed a possible drug smuggler (later to be found to have been trafficing 750lbs of pot) and so they order him to stop. He makes a run for the Rio Grande and at one point turns back and one of the agents (after seeing his partner on the ground and hearing gunshots) thinks her is aiming a gun at him, so he fires. The smuggler never reacts to possibley being hit, he jumps into a van waiting for him on the Mexico side and drives away.

The smuggler tells his mommy months later that he was shot by a Border Patrol Agent. The smugglers mommy calls a relative that has a son that's a Border Patrol Agent and gives him the story. That agent reports it to Washington and soon, the DOHS was in Mexico handing this smuggler a free pass into the U.S., a get out of jail free card, medical assistance, etc... in return for his BS testimony about the incident.

The D.A. in this case decided that the ILLEGAL that was smuggling drugs (and has been busted in the past) was far more believable than two sworn Border Patrol Agents (one of which was nominated for agent of the year) that have nothing but clean records since day one on the force.

So we have two outstanding Border Patrol Agents that "suddenly decided to hunting down illegals and smugglers and kill them" even though there ISN'T ONE SHRED OF EVIDENCE TO PROVE THAT! and a criminal that has lied in the past during arrests that is "suddenly only capable of speaking the truth"???

The ONLY thing in question here is the possibility of the two agents picking up their spent casings and not following through "completely" in reporting the incident. A offense normally receiving up to 5 days suspension without pay, BUT the DOHS and the DA decided these two must be thrown in jail???

The DA went after these two as if they were the drug smuggling ILLEGAL!!!

WHAT IN THE HELL IS GOING ON WITH THIS COUNTRY AND IT'S USELESS GOVERNMENT???

Agent Ramos and Agent Compean (yes Agent as far as I'm concerned... They committed NO CRIME!!!) should have been awarded medals for doing what some of the other Agents refuse (and in some cases are getting paid to aid the drug smugglers) to do, PROTECT OR COUNTRY!

The DA, the DOHS, the judge and the jury should be locked up for double the amount sentanced on these two heros.

And lastly, that idiot in office, Bush refuses to grant a pardon for these two heros, why? Could it be that Bush is still hand tied by Mexico? Does Fox still have a leash on the little draft dodger? And what about the DA, DOHS and the judge??? Was there a drug cartel payoff to "payback" to two agents that stopped a delivery?

Who is pocketing the cash in this case? I would point a finger at all of them as each had no reason what so ever to go after these two agents with anything more than a 5 day suspension.

This proves that jackass in office that we are stuck with until 2008 is in favor of Mexico far more than his own country, citizens and heros.

Bush, the DA, the DOHS Director and the judge should be tried for kidnapping, civil rights violations, treason, battery (because you know they will be picked on in prison) and possibly murder if they are killed while in prison.

I only wish there were enough real Americans willing to march to both prisons and extract the two heros by force and then warn the "government" to leave the two agents alone or face a possible revolution.

This country is doomed by the jackass that sends our men and women (our heros) over seas to stand in harms way but not have the needed equipment or be allowed to engage the enemy and therefore get killed all in the name of "The War on Terrorism" but refuses to secure our own borders and furthermore takes hostage anyone that tries to protect this country.

I can understand (sorta) about the streaming idea. The concert footage is probably protected (I'm in no way an attorney) but the sales of memorabilia fall into the "tuff-skee-sh*ts-skee" catagory. The company paid for the items and has every right to resell the items. The dopeheads already made there money on the items when they were first sold (at concerts, stores, etc...) Where were these ancient rockers when the items were first sold? If they were worried abolut the sale of the items why didn't one of them purchase the items (since they change ownership several times before "Wolfgang's Vault" purchased them)???

As for one of them complaining that he "has an electric bill to pay" because he "plays the electric guitar", again I have to play the "Tuff-skee-sh*ts-skee" card here. I guess you should have invested some of your multi-millions instead of jamming it all into your arm via a syringe! Now, for Emily...My questions for Natalie apply to you to.  Who told you that we can't question our own government?  It's mind boggling to me that we here at Founding Fathers Party do that very thing all the time and no one from any government agency has talked to us about our descent.

No!  You idiots!  Your problems stem first and foremost from your choice to loose your venom while visiting a foreign country.  But you also chose to ignore a couple other factors: 1) your "country" (politically conservative and patriotic) fan base, and 2) we were about to initiate a war which, if you don't know, is a time of heightened patriotism.  If you had spoken your insult inside the country, you would have had less of a backlash, but it would have been less.  But you dismiss the "outside the country" concept as, incomprehensible.  So let me splain.

On Oprah, you all implied that you were more upset by the threats and insults against Natalie specifically because she is not only your bandmate, she is your friend.  My meaning is that, we always come to the defense of our family, friends, neighbors, school, state, religion, culture, race, AND country when attacked from outside.  YOU ATTACKED FROM OUTSIDE!

I can insult or bash my brother, but you can't without casting aspersions on me.  I can insult my school.  But, if you insult my school like I do, I'm going to defend it.  For others, if you insult their race or culture the way they insult it themselves, they're going to be more insulted.

If you attack our president from a foreign land, others are going to attack you back even if they feel the same way.

Get a clue.  When you're outside the country, or just don't want to suffer the reactions to your political speech, SHUT UP AND SING!

10/25/2006 - Once again fat head Rush Limbaugh has shoved his own foot into his hugely fat mouth (I'm sure there is plenty of room for the other one as well). On his radio show, Limbaugh made the statement that "He is moving around and shaking, and it is purely an act" commenting on Fox's parkinson disease.

It was just a year ago that Limbaugh was making remarks about Hollywood actors and drug addiction. He remarked how the actors used the "drug addiction is a disease" as a crutch when drug addiction is clearly not a disease, but a stupid choice and weakness... Of course, once Limbaugh was caught illegally possessing narcotics, he jumped on the same "victim" bandwagon as the Hollywood actors. Limbaugh now has the "disease" call drug addiction.

So the "great conservative voice" has taken a page from the very political enemy that he has built his radio show around and attacks on a daily basis. He is now a "victim" of a "disease." No, he is exactly what he claims his political enemies are, "a self serving, careless about others, self victimizing when convenient (so he doesn't end up in the slammer), hateful jackass."

Fox is not asking for abortions, killing of babies, destroying embryos, cloning of humans or anything else that the Republicans are claiming. I consider myself a conservative on most issues. This issue, along with medicinal marijuana are but two that that I cannot grasp the Republican/conservative viewpoints on.

As for fat head Limbaugh, keep preaching your hatred because that has done wonders for this country so far. What a jackass!

 

10/8/2006 - I've had it with the mongrel muslims and their oil cartel... They are whining that the way over inflaited price of oil is dropping (extremely slowly) closer to what it's real value is.

I've had it with them complaining the U.S. will argue over the price of gas that climbs by a nickle. Gas has tripled and to the economics majors that want to give the statement that "the average person drives a car that gets 20mpg and only drives 80miles a week will only be affected by an increase of about $40 a month... $40 can easily mean food on the table for those in the low income base. So drop the "it's not so bad" story as people are affected by it. If I am elected President, I will change the oil structure in the U.S. Giving the U.S. car companies incentives to build high mileage bio-desiel, hybrids, alternate fuel and electric vehicles. I will also start drilling in the U.S. but will put steps in place to protect the surrounding environment.

I'm also done with the constant pussyfooting around the mongrel muslims for fear of offending the little terrorists. They asked for the war, we need to finish the war. If elected President, I will send every needed piece of equipment and soldier to iraq to mop the place up in less than 30 days. I will then pull our troops from there and hand Iraq the bill for the war. I will reinforce the troops in Afgahnistan and elsewhere as needed.

I've had it with this nation sending trillions in food, financial aid, medical aid, technological aid, etc... and the very same recipients spitting in our faces. If I become President, I will cut off ALL foriegn aid and spend that money on helping rebuild the U.S. and its poor.

Another thing I'm sick of is our border security. Again, we call ourselves racist for doing EXACTLY WHAT EVERY other country does to protect their borders. If elected President, the fence would be built in 2 months and reinforce the border agents AND those found in this country to be illegally would be given a one way ticket home.

10/8/2006 - Adam Gadahn aka "Azzam the American" has released yet another video attempting to convert Americans to Islam. Yep, this dope head from Riverside (yep, the 909... Meth-land) converted to Islam and is now catagorized (in my book) as a filthy mongrel.

Because the dopehead didn't fit in to his own liking, he "found Islam" and has decided to take up arms against his country, his fellow citizens AND his own family.

Obviously the meth damaged a large portion of this mongrels brain as he is touting that the U.S. will be destroyed and all those that did not convert to the mongrel cult will burn in hell and "without passing go." What a tool...

Just like the last mongrel cult convert that was found, arrested and thrown in prison, so too will this dope head mongrel, or better yet, a bullet greased in pig fat parts his skull.

Oh, I almost forgot.... Here's the icing on the cake... Adam Gadahn (Azzam the Dopehead Mongrel) is Jewish. Yep, this tweeker mongrel is Jewish and fighting to kill Jews and all non-mongrels. I wonder how Al Qaeda justifies having a Jew speak for them?

10/7/2006 - The LA Times "World in Brief" section had a very small but to the exact point I have been stating all along... Hamas has made the statement that they will never recognize Israel, ever. The best they have to offer Israel is "a temporary truce in return for establishment of a Palestinian state in the West Bank and Gaza Strip with it's capital in Jerusalem".... Essentially, the complete push of Israel out of the middle east and in doing so, Hamas will stop the suicide bombings and other attacks TEMPORARILY. Meaning, even if Israel was stupid enough to agree to that load of crap, Hamas would STILL hunt down the Jews that they kicked out of Israel to continue their murderous drive to eliminate EVERY JEW AND NON-MUSLIM IN THE WORLD!!! They will only accept a complete take over of the world (which means YOU get to convert to islam or die) and nothing else!

Eliminate these mongrels now while we still have a chance.

10/7/2006 - Mexican President, Criminal Fox, made the the statement that the border fence (signed in by President Bush...... FINALLY!!) is "wrong."

"Wrong".... "Wrong" because it slows his ability to keep the stampeed of poor and criminals flowing out of his country. "Wrong" because he will have a hard time sending in the Mexican Federals to be armed guards for the drug runners. "Wrong" because his Federals will have a harder time sneaking across, armed and ready to gang rape innocent women. "Wrong" because it means fewer illegals getting into the U.S. to sponge the "free" medical care. "Wrong" because it means fewer illegals getting in and taking jobs. "Wrong" because it means fewer illegals getting in and not paying taxes, but using every "freebie" and "handout" that socialists can come up with.

Why do we give a damn what criminal Fox says, thinks or cares about???

Criminal Fox STILL has the standing order at the Mexico southern border of "Shoot to kill anyone entering illegally" and yet NO ONE mentions that.

If he and the rest of his criminal government were in any way shape or form concerned about "human rights", that kill order would be stopped AND the corruption in the Mexican government would be dealt with.... BUT we all know that will NEVER happen.

9/26/2006 - Last Sunday night on Fox News, Bill Clinton spewed a new, bigger and better web of BS than EVER before!

That criminal is now trying to repair his "legacy" as the nations number 1 defense President. The only defense he was interested in was his own IMPEACHMENT!

I could go line for line into the story but, Ronald Cass has pretty much hit the nail on the head in EVERY signle point.

I think the most disturbing statement is that the criminal did more to hunt down Bin Laden than Bush. The criminal was HANDED Bin Laden on a silver platter on several occaisions and each time REFUSED to complete the job at hand. I hold the criminal personally responsible for the 9/11 attacks as it sure seems he did his damnedest to keep Bin Laden alive and in control for 8 YEARS!!!

9/22/2006 - So the Pope has decided to kiss the mongrel muslims ass a little deeper by inviting them to visit him... The only thing that can come from this will be a more pissed off group of mongrels or even possibly the attempt to murder the Pope.

9/22/2006 - Pakistani President,  General Pervez Musharraf says that the U.S. threatened to "bomb Pakistan back to the stone age if they don't help with the war on terror."

My question is, for most of that country, would we really need to bomb it? That hole is mostly an under developed sand pit. They already live in the stone age.

As for the threat, obviously it worked and we should have threatened others at the same time. Especially since Paki's are regularly in on the terrorist activities.

In this rare occaision, chaulk one up for the Bush Admin!

9/18/2006 - Why again do we want to try and negotiate with these mongrels? 9/10/2006 - As ABC was putting the last few touches on the mini-series: "The Path to 9/11", Bill Clinton has once again sidestepped another issue of his administrations failures, treason and blunders by stompping and crying that he will be seen in a bad light.

And ABC has crumbled to his protests...

It's sad when that jackass is still to this day screwing the citizens of this country. Here's a little bit of info that "Mr. Is Is" cannot dispute.

1. 1993 attack on the WTC was the begining of a series of marked attacks on the U.S.

2. By 1995, Osama Bin Laden had been identified, named as a prime enemy of the U.S. and expected to strike the U.S. within the fairly near future.

3. Bin Laden was handed to the U.S. on several occaisions during the mid to late 1990's and the Clinton Administration turned down the offer.

4. Intelligence reports, along with post 9/11 investigations, that Al Qeada was planning an attack using U.S. commercial aircraft as missles and that information was presented to Clinton and his staff more than once by the Phillipine government... and ignored.

5. The developement of the plan started back in late 1993.

6. While Clinton did order the launch of a few missles in retaliation for an attack against the U.S., the missles were successful at blowing up several vacant tents in the empty desert.

Clinton has no problem pointing the finger at Bush (and no, I'm no fan of Bush) for not being prepared to thwart the attacks even though Bush had only been in office less than nine months... The planning, training, threats, warnings, not to mention Bin Laden's locations given to him during his terms, but when HE is also listed as one of those that are to blame, he throws a fit.

Sorry Billy boy, YOU are just as, if not more guilty. You had 7 years of intellegence and opportunities, Bush had under nine months.

Maybe you didn't mean for 9/11 to happen, probably were to busy working out treasonist deals by handing over our guidance systems to the Chinese? Well, that and very busy getting your carrot waxed by Lewinsky while on the phone discussing top secret affairs... Way to go Bill... Your legacy continues to grow around you... Criminal!

9/10/2006 - So, some terrorist mongrel is in a panic that his opportunity to become a ZILLIONAIRE by charging WAY OVER PRICED OIL so OPEC is going to hold a meeting to discuss the "situation." AND THERE IS THE STATEMENT WE HAVE ALL BEEN ASKING FOR!!!

Up until now, we have been told by OPEC, the oil companies, our government, the gas stations, stock holders and anyone else loosely connected to the oil gaffing currently in place, that the price increase is due to demand and the inability of OPEC to keep up with it. BUT we now have one greedy terrorist mongrel that opened his yap and making the statement we ALL knew was the truth all along.

Don't believe these mongrel a**holes anymore. The independent studies (meaning far more than one group researching) ALL state the same thing. Oil under the U.S. alone is enough to supply the world for at least 200 years under current consumption. So lets end this supplying of the terrorist mongrels funding and drill for our own oil. Better yet, lets take ALL power production off the oil teet, demand car makers to supply hybrid and bio deisel cars, allow hemp crops to be grown and processed here in the U.S., charge Iraq for the cost of ridding that sand pit of its DICK-taitor, setup bio-fuel production, and ACTUALLY work to eliminate our need for foreign oil. They don't deserve a penny of our money!

So the Major was shopping and someone walked up behind her, stuffed something in her pants pocket and she had no knowledge of it? Further, she finds "it" in her pocket and "it" supposedly has written on it, detailed instructions? With that kind of "planning" on the abductors behalf, wouldn't you think they would have blindfolded her once the "3 men and 1 woman" stuffed her in the minivan? Then we have the died hair and stained hands, why would the abductors need to do that? They already had her "locked away in a dark room." Then we have the descrepency regarding her hair, shaved or died? And lastly we are told she was found on the side of the road, but later told she was found knocking on the door of someones house.

This chick gets married (with no honeymoon) and sent to a place that aint so wonderful... Gee, it must have been a kidnapping, right? Right...

 

9/9/2006 - Ok, Once and for all, the U.S. Government, George Bush, Dick Chenney, Donald Rumsfeld and the rest of those named on the 9/11 conspiracy nuts list HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH THE ATTACKS!!!

There was no "secret demolition" of the WTC towers. There was no "Shooting down of flight 93". There was no missile fired into the Pentagon. The two passenger jets THAT WE ALL WATCHED LIVE did hit the WTC towers!!! The flights involved ALL existed!!! NONE of the highjackers are alive today. Jews died in the WTC just like EVERYONE ELSE!!! The victims of 9/11 died in the attacks and not "after the planes were emptied and the passengers moved to a building and shot"!!! And lastly, YES, THOUSANDS OF TONS OF STEEL AND CONCRETE PANCAKING UPON EACH FLOOR BELOW WILL CAUSE AN ENTIRE BUILDING TO COLLAPSE, GRAVITY IS KINDA FUNNY THAT WAY!!!

8/31/2006 - I've argued the positive impact of the Electoral College several times with friends and liberals (no, I do not know of any friends that are liberal, thus the distinction).  I firmly believe in the concept of a representative democracy, and I think the Electoral College is necessary and effective.  After the 2000 election fiasco, the foaming Bush-haters began promoting the mantra, "One Man, One Vote", taking advantage of the anger of the losing side to launch an attack against the Electoral College.  And I believe the ultimate goal is a revolution against representative democracy in favor of direct democracy, or mob rule.  And today, I read that the liberal Democrats have begun constructing the coffin for the Electoral College.

Sadly, California is not alone in this backdoor assault on representative government.  Colorado, Illinois, Louisiana, and Missouri apparently also have legislation pending that would result in all the state's electoral votes being cast for the candidate with the most national popular votes.  Yes, California's (our) 55 electoral votes would NOT be cast according to the popular vote of citizens of California, but would be cast according to the popular vote of entire country.  Presumably, the goal is to have all the states join the movement, ultimately resulting in all 538 electoral votes being cast unanimously for the winner of the national popular vote.  Which is, if nothing else, another nail in the coffin for the notion that each state is a sovereign state.  California's proposal would not go into effect until enough other states agree to the same process that would result in at least 270 electoral votes.  The effect is the same though; the winner of the popular election is absolutely guaranteed to win the Electoral College, thus entirely negating the college.

Our Founding Fathers feared unchecked power of any kind.  A pure democracy is the result of eliminating the Electoral Collage, and pure democracy is unchecked will of the people, or a "mob-ocracy".  Eliminating the Electoral College further weakens the sovereignty and power of the states, leading further toward the destruction of our federalist system - a system, I think, worth defending.

8/30/2006 - Ok, so I was told by many to watch th Spike Lee documentary on HBO about the whole hurricane Katrina disaster.

I began with the hopes that it would be about the true failures surrounding the disaster and not about race and within the first five minutes my hopes were wisked away.

Instead of looking at the disaster and the inept actions of the local, county, state and federal governments, the director clearly had one focus... It was portrayed as the disaster and the aftermath was clearly the evil white man showing his racist ways by holding back any aid and keeping the blacks at bay with an army of heavily armmed "redneck cops" and nothing less.

Every person interviewed (government and civilian) claimed they had no warning and no time to evacuate or prepare for the rescue operations. All except one news anchor (and I wish I could remember what his name was) who made the comment, "The government AND the citizens of New Orleans had almost two weeks and in the last week leading up to it, ALL of the news agencies reported the warnings by the experts. So I don't know how either side can say they had no warning." I was surprised that was left in the documentary.

False rumors were started on both "sides" of the issue. The police claimed daily rapes of women and infants, murder, etc... were happening and the civilians were claiming the government/police were shooting at them refusing to give them food from the relief trucks, etc... This turned into a race issue only by way of the news media attempting to get the very latest info.

Here's a clue for the blacks, minorities and poor in the affected area. Bush did not set out some plan to have the "niggers" all die in New Orleans so that the "poor welfare recipient blacks would be eliminated from the books."  Race had nothing to do with what happened.

Here's a clue for the government officials (local, county, state and fed). Bush, the Feds, the Governor, Mayor, Police Chief, etc... were inept at best. Nobody listened to the experts and the bewilderment of ALL of these officials is astonishing to say the least. Each and every one of them should be fired for allowing Americans to suffer.

I will repeat that again... The aftermath of Katrina was NOT a race issue and the longer that people try to make it an issue, the longer we will be without real solutions to future disasters. This was a complete failure on EVERY level of government and it includes black officials as well as white, hispanic, asian, etc... The ONLY ones that must be commended for their actions is clearly the U.S. Coast Guard and more precisely the commander since he told his service men and women to "forget the rule book, these are Americans and we will do anything and everything to save them."

Stirring up a race issue because you want to make money from a poorly made documentary is in my book a racist action. Spike Lee is more concerned with creating controversy over a false claim so he can sell his story and that is criminal. There were blacks avoiding the problems including the Mayor, so how can it be a race issue? Furthermore, the "director" attempted to show almost nothing but blacks in dispair but if you paid attention in the background of the video shot, there were just as many whites. This "director" had the opportunity of a lifetime to show the real problems we are faced with today concerning a completely inept government (from the bottom up), but instead chose to sell a racial lawsuit because he knew the controversy would sell his video... Sad...

If you haven't seen the "documentary", don't waste your time unless the lies of racism won't affect your view of what really happened.

What is most annoying is that we can have troops on the ground anywhere in the world to fight a war in less than two days. We can have medical ships and food/water drops when a tsunami hits another country in 24 hours, but it takes a week for our government to figure out how to help Americans here in the U.S.

Lastly... The idea of a documentary is to give the details, the facts of a story. This did anything but that. We are still plagued by a small group that uses racism as their stepping stone to the top (be it political or financial). So we have learned nothing from the past 40 years and we definately learned nothing from Katrina.

My heart goes out to those Americans that lost so much and I can only hope that the civilian outpour of financial aid reaches them and helps them rebuild. No American deserves to be left stranded and suffering inside the U.S. and this disaster was a huge embarassment to the country. We can thank our government for that.
